The mission of the Fiddler’s Green is to provide all veterans, spouses, family members of veterans, and survivors the opportunity to share their stories of service with fellow veterans and others.
There are literally thousands of Veteran Service Organizations out there, each with a different mission. The one thing that they have in common is that they want to help veterans in their own way. Some might help financially, some might help emotionally, some might help with homelessness, and others might help by providing the opportunity for veterans to serve their community and help others in need.
We do this mainly through storytelling that promotes education and active listening while building connections between military and civilian people of America. We believe that telling, listening, sharing and capturing stories in a non-judgmental way nourish us and help build a more compassionate country. Veterans’ stories (whether they be entertaining, inspirational, instructive, commemorative or healing) remind us that history is built one story block at a time.
